Microneedling Process

The process begins with a free consultation with one of our Master Estheticians to go over your skin evaluation, do a free Visia Skin assessment, and discuss your goals for treatment.

A topical numbing cream will be applied.

A blood draw will be done if you elect to add PRP to your treatment, which is highly recommended.

The Esthetician will administer the treatment.

You will be given the recommended aftercare and instructions.

We will schedule a follow up to make sure everything Is healing well and review your progress.

Is microneedling safe? Yes, this is a very safe treatment. Risks typically include some mild bleeding, bruising or sun sensitivity. Although microneedling is a very effective treatment to improve scarring, there is a rare occurrence of scarring from procedure. Hyperpigmentation is also very rare, and usually only in darker skin tones. Proper care after procedure is essential to ensure good healing and results. 

Does Microneedling improve pigmentation? Yes. Studies have shown that microneedling is effective at improving pigmentation of the skin. 

Is microneedling painful? Generally no. The topical numbing cream makes this a minimally uncomfortable procedure, but this does vary with individuals ability to anesthetize. 

Does microneedling tighten skin? Yes. By producing increased collagen, the skins natural connective tissue, the results are tighter and firmer, and therefore younger looking skin. 

Can microneedling help with scars? Yes. Improved collagen and elastin in the skin help to fill in and improve the appearance of scars, including acne scars.
